Surgery

Historically many minor surgeries were referred to major hospitals. Over the years anesthesia and monitoring techniques have improved to allow many of these surgeries to be performed safely at smaller hospitals. Piedmont Equine handles a wide array of elective surgeries, both soft tissue and orthopedic. Whether your horse requires general anesthesia or a standing procedure, your horse will be closely monitored by one of our veterinarians to ensure the surgery is as safe and controlled as possible. Our veterinarians will evaluate your horse on a case by case basis to help you determine what is the best treatment option.
