Ambulatory & Emergency Care

24 hours a day, 7 days a week

We understand the convenience of on-farm care, which is why our fully stocked ambulatory vehicles allow us to bring our services directly to your horse within a 45-mile radius of our practice during our business hours.

After-hours care is offered to anyone hauling into our facility. Ambulatory/ On-Farm services are provided after hours to clients within a 30 miles radius of our practice.

While many issues can be addressed on your farm, our veterinarians are able to seamlessly transition our patients to our state-of-the-art facility to handle advanced care or diagnostics as needed. This means that, whether on the farm or at our hospital, we will ensure that your horse receives the uninterrupted and comprehensive care they deserve.

Veterinary Referrals

Piedmont Equine Associates is here to assist veterinarians seeking referral to our practice! Our veterinary team offers follow-up care, hospitalization and surgical services in support of veterinarians throughout the southeast. Communication with the referring doctor for on-going post op treatment and care are critical to the long-term success of the patient. We strive to work with clients needing specialized services and/or surgical opinions.

Inter-Practice Patient Referral

If your referral is an emergency, please contact our office or emergency line at (706) 752-1818. Otherwise, complete and provide the information when referring a patient to Piedmont that has previously received services at another practice for the same issue. The records will be reviewed on the day following your referral and a veterinarian will contact the referring veterinarian or the client as requested.
